Humble PieIt is always easy to criticise many things, pointing with your finger. Boost about saying that "I saw this...", "This is wrong...", "I think we should...", "Perhaps, we could...". A revolution should start or the very least, some changes. We frown when things doesn't seem to be going the way it should seems. We became unmotivated, unhappy, grudges were form, lost of the initial goal in mind, self-pity and then slowly, rebellious. If things doesn't go in the way God intended, it is not us but God who will do the changes.

Humility is a state of being humble, submissive and freedom of pride. Pride is something that will creep in without you being able to realise it unless you are alert enough. It is something that is dangerous, rebellious, full of envy. let history speaks of itself. Satan did that. He fell.
While pride falls , humility rise. Jesus served as a humble servant despite having a son-ship status of God and He was submissive to God the Father. Even though He is the Son of God, never once have He abused His authority as one. He portray the likeness of His Father.
Love for people. Love for children. Love for the lost. Jesus went around healing the sick, rejecting not anyone who came to Him. He welcomes children and had compassion on those who were sick and lost. Doing all these, all for the sake of glorifying God. Jesus focuses on God and thus He is able to love with the Love of God.
I have not been focusing on God more than I should have. I have been focusing on many other things other than God alone. I have not focus on the Cross. I have not been focusing on Jesus. God is a faithful God. He promised that He will never leave nor forsake me!
Over the past few months, I was living in a what seems like an empty shell. I am holding on to that little faith of mine, grabbing hold of that little hope I have. It was tiring. I was reading the daily devotion this morning when I came across this little story from Pastor Rick warren.
"Imagine riding in a speedboat on a lake with an automatic pilot set to go east. If you decide to reverse and head west, you have two possible ways to change the boat's direction.
One way is to grab the steering wheel and physically force it to head in the opposite direction from where the autopilot is programmed to go. By sheer willpower you could overcome the autopilot, but you would feel constant resistance. Your arms would eventually tire of the stress, you’d let go of the steering wheel, and the boat would instantly head back east, the way it was internally programmed.
This is what happens when you try to change you life with willpower: You say, "I'll force myself to eat less . . . exercise more . . . quit being disorganized and late."
Yes, willpower can produce short-term change, but it creates constant internal stress because you haven't dealt with the root cause. The change doesn't feel natural, so eventually you give up and quickly revert to your old patterns.
There is a better and easier way: Change your autopilot—the way you think. The Bible says, "Let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think" (Romans 12:2 NLT).
The New Testament calls this mental shift repentance, which in Greek literally means "to change your mind." You repent whenever you change the way you think by adopting how God thinks—about yourself, sin, God, other people, life, your future, and everything else. You take on Christ's outlook and perspective. "
Rely on God.
" God is good.
God is in control.
God will brings all things to pass " (Rev. Edmund Chan)

Living your life without a purpose
and showing less respect than it should
is dishonoring the one who gave it,
who with all rights deserved all honor.

What is life when you have not tasted death?
What is love when sacrifice was not made?
and each made their own god when they were made by God.
