I was having discipleship with my two boys this morning. We talked on the topic of Servanthood. What is a servant? I asked them. Both gave me a political right answer. A Master over him! Said one. Do the things as he has been told or instructed. Said another. What is a godly servant then? I asked again. Cracking both their heads. Serve God.The difference between a normal servant and a godly servant is about the individual Master whom we served. A normal servant serve the master or do what their told to do but God, however, works through His servants. God desires a relationship with us. In humility we serve God, putting ourselves down, serving others as though we are a servant. That's precisely what we should do or what Jesus has been doing! He came down as a God and man. He is God. Look, if you do not understand the meaning of God. Flip through Genesis. As a God Himself, He came down to mingle with the sinners, serving them ( Preaching, Healing, Casting out demons, providing fishes, washing the feet of His disciples!) and of course not to mention that He saved us all from the fiery of the fier'ies (Hell). Jesus mentioned in the bible that "28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” (Matthew 20:28) He came not to be served but to serve. That's the life protocol of Jesus. He serves and He still does. That's my Jesus. Never ever say when do I serve Man and How do I serve God! If you're serving the very least or rather if you're serving people. You're serving God! (Matthew 25 : 35-40)
Be humble, be willing to be mold, be willing to serve, be willing to love this God.
